Etang le Rocher Premier Carp Fishery in France!
Etang Le Rocher is a beautiful 100 year old French estate lake set in twenty-five acres of forest which surrounds and overhangs the whole of the lake. The lake has deep margins all round, where the huge French fish like nothing better than to test your tackle to its limits.
The lake is highly stocked with Commons, Mirrors, Leathers, Fully Scaled Mirrors and Sturgeon. Most of the stock are over 25lbs, so a Etang le Rocher accounts for many new personal bests for our visitors every week.
We offer an exclusive package for those who come to Etang le Rocher as we only cater for seven anglers per week, so group booking are encouraged. Etang le Rocher is a fully enclosed private fishery so offers legal night fishing and no permits are required.
The Lodge at Etang le Rocher
The lodge has a large dining area, where we serve a full English breakfast and an evening meal. We can accommodate for vegetarians, but please advise us at the time of booking. There is free tea and coffee at all meal times. The lodge also boasts Sky Television, a full sized super league pool table plus darts. There is a shop where there is a large selection of tackle, bait, particles and photographic films. Snacks are also available, including; sweets, cold drinks, and of course lots of ice cold beer.
Facilities also include an English shower and toilet block, we unlike many do not charge you for using the shower facilities!
The Lake
Etang le Rocher is a beautiful 100 year old French estate lake set as said before. This is no drive and survive holiday, every thing is laid on, after your arrival via our mini bus, you will be received by our friendly staff, who will show you around the fishery, point out the hotspots and tell you all you need to know so you are fully genned-up. After you have chosen your swim at set-up had a cup of tea may be? it's on with the reason why you came, bait on, rods out and soon you will be cradling your first specimen and may be a personal best! Each swim on Etang le Rocher produces well and has holding features in front of it, so every one has the same opportunity to catch, we have worked hard on the fishery to ensure this as we have all had the time when we've said -God I wish I was in that swim!

Baits and Particles
Mainline Active 8 boilies are really effective on this lake, the carp just seem to love them, fished over a small bed of carp pellet and you can expect some hard fighting specimen carp to come your way. Use your bait carefully as large beds of bait can spook the fish, little and often usually brings better results. Particles available on site are hemp, party blend, groats, carp pellet, salmon pellet for hook bait. These are ready prepared and sold at a reasonable price, typically lower than English tackle shop prices, we do this so the fish get correctly prepared food and weight / space saving on the mini-bus.
Rigs and Tactics
Fish sensible, all your normal rigs will work, you don't have to be hi-tech just good knots, strong size 4 hooks, hair rigged will bring good results. WE do have a well stocked tackle shop onsite should you need to stock up on your end tackle , see the list below for information on some of the supplies available in the shop, all these are at UK prices and not hyped up.
